Manufacturing & costing module
From master formula to cost variance, on one order.
Versioned formulas with a second pair of eyes, production orders exploded into materials, a shop-floor kiosk for operators, and normal costing that reconciles work in progress to the general ledger.

Formulas with a second pair of eyes
Master formulas are versioned and move from draft to submitted to approved — and the approver can never be the author, as good manufacturing practice expects.
A shop floor that records itself
A tablet kiosk where operators sign in with a PIN or a Code 128 badge. Steps pause, run in parallel, and are skipped only with a supervisor’s approval.
Normal costing, reconciled
Materials at moving average, labor at actual minutes times rate, overhead at a predetermined rate per labor hour — with work in progress reconciled to the general ledger.
Variances that explain themselves
Nine categories — material price, usage and substitution; labor rate and efficiency; overhead rate and efficiency; lot size; other — settled incrementally.
Built for gloves and tablets
Big targets, one step at a time, and a timer that knows the tolerance.

Engineering
- A clear hierarchy
- Cost center, manufacturing method, versioned activity route and versioned standard times per product.
- Standard times with tolerances
- Setup and run minutes per base quantity, with the tolerance each step is measured against.
- Qualification matrix
- Steps that require a certified operator can only be signed by one.
- Printed documents
- Order sheet, material requisition, formula print and cost sheet, ready for the batch record.
Orders & floor
- Materials exploded from the formula
- An order’s material list comes from the approved version, with the lot number on the order.
- Approval and requisitions
- The production manager approves; materials are requisitioned incrementally as the batch needs them.
- Deviation reasons, never blocks
- A time outside tolerance asks for a reason code — and lets the operator keep working.
- Output into sales
- Finished goods flow into sales drafts, so what you made is ready to bill.
Planning & insight
- 13-week MRP plan
- A weekly multi-level plan with make-versus-buy, flagging releases that are already late.
- Monthly close
- Under- and over-applied overhead closed each month; costs post nightly to the ledger.
- Production dashboard
- Labor efficiency, deviation by activity, tolerance compliance by operator, pause time by reason.
- Standard versus real
- Standard and real labor cost and man-hours per batch, side by side.
